HCC - 07/23 - Pre-Procurement Market Engagement for the Provision of Functional Assessment Training

2.1 For many years Hertfordshire County Council (HCC) have delivered a comprehensive ‘Functional Assessment’ training programme to all of our operational practitioners across Adult Care Services who are not qualified occupational therapists. The programme supports the development of a ‘functional assessor’ (Trusted Assessor) role, whereby practitioners are able to independently assess for and prescribe a range of functional assessment solutions as a means to maximise independence and participation in meaningful daily living activities. To date this has been delivered in-house by ACS Occupational Therapists, however we no longer have the opportunity or capacity to continue with our current delivery model and are looking to explore alternative and more sustainable solutions moving forward.
