Lochar-Moss MBT Engineering Parts and Repairs Framework

Dumfries and Galloway are exploring options for the provision of parts and services relating to the repair and maintenance of the waste process equipment within the Lochar-Moss MBT facility. The primary purpose of the MBT facility, is to mechanically recycle all incoming household waste from across the Dumfries and Galloway region of Scotland, operating 5 days per week, 24 hours per day, processing up to 70,000 tons of household bin waste per year. The scope may include but not be limited to emergency repairs, pro-active repairs and maintenance and lifecycle replacement and refurbishment plant processing equipment in the following discipline areas:

• Chain conveyors
• Belt conveyors
• Shredders
• Trommels and screening
• Over-band magnetic extraction
• Overhead Gantry cranes
• Press compactors
• Process fans
• Compressors
• Dust extraction
• Rapid rise shutter doors
• Fire suppression system, flame detection
• Please note that at this stage the scope of the framework and its lots have yet to be determined and therefore may change from those stated.
