T2563: PEACEPLUS Employability – Language Up Belfast
Description

The purpose of this Prior Information Notice is to notify the market of Belfast City Council’s intention to hold a pre-market engagement event with interested suppliers to provide information on the PEACEPLUS Employability – Language Up Belfast Programme. The aim of the programme is to deliver a structured programme that combines vocationally oriented language learning with practical aspects of living and working in Belfast for individuals whose first language is not English. Language Up Belfast will provide opportunities for people from minority ethnic communities to develop the necessary citizenship, language and employability skills which allow them to contribute to the local economy and share in Belfast’s success. This project contributes to the implementation of the Thriving and Peaceful Communities theme under the Belfast PEACEPLUS Local Community Action Plan. Thriving and peaceful communities are defined as people with high levels of individual wellbeing; who manage strong relationships and connections; and are empowered to lead targeted and transformative programmes. The overall target requirement for the project is 816 participants within an allocated budget of £447,513 (excluding VAT), over 3 years from January 2025 to December 2027. The PEACEPLUS Employability – Language Up Belfast forms parts of the Belfast PEACEPLUS Local Community Action Plan, which is supported by PEACEPLUS, a programme managed by the Special EU Programmes Body (SEUPB). Belfast City Council will host a pre-market engagement consultation on Thursday 3rd October 2024, 10am – 12pm in Belfast City Council Offices at 9 Adelaide Street, Belfast, BT2 8GA to provide further detail to interested parties including the project requirements, key deliverables and results, the procurement process and the indicative timeframes for the project. Anyone interested in attending this session is required to register their interest by e-mailing peacepluslap@belfastcity.gov.uk by COP Monday 30th September 2024. A maximum of 1 individual per organisation can register to attend and further detail will be issued to registered attendees in advance of the session.
