The Royal Docks Team (RDT) seek a delivery partner to develop a 5 year Food and Beverage (F&B) Strategy and supporting programme aimed at growing the F&B ecosystem, supporting communities aspirations collaborating with existing and new F&B business to creatively address sectoral challenges. The strategy and programme will be aligned with both Mayoral and London Borough of Newham priorities focused on delivering tangible benefits to residents, businesses and visitors.
Working with community and business partners will be key to developing an ambitious programme that offers the opportunity for a partner to make a major impact and contribution to the longer term, sustainable prosperity of the Royal Docks. The strategy and programme, which will include at least one major capital project (subject to a successful application to the Royal Docks Good Growth Fund application) and may include working with partners to develop affordable food marketplaces, community café developments, urban agriculture, potentially at scale, while supporting and growing the existing F&B business ecosystem. We would expect the delivery partner, supported by the RDT, to develop further complementary projects and source funding. Central to the overall programme will be skills development and training aligned to the Royal Docks Delivery Plan and the London Food Board priorities. Further to ensure effective governance and representation a local Food Board will be developed by the RDT and partner comprising the local community, business and key stakeholders to inform and advise on the programme.
Consortia or partnerships with a nominated lead partner are encouraged and welcome.
The procurement process is managed by TfL on behalf of the GLA.
