The Joint Maritime Security Centre is a cross-government body tasked with the provision of information to Joint Maritime Security Stakeholders and the co-ordination of cross-government operations relating to maritime security.
The requirement is for a maritime surveillance capability completely owned, managed, operated and maintained by the supplier but deployed by Joint Maritime Security Centre to any point in the UK Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ). The expectation is that the selected platform(s) will be fitted with role equipment relevant to the Maritime Patrol Aircraft (MPA) role – Radar, Electro-optic turret and marine and tactical communications systems (details can be provided in due course). It is anticipated that between 100 and 140 flying hours per calendar month are required will be required.
