Nottingham City Council (NCC) and Derby City Council (DCC) (each Council) have been working together to define their requirements for a joint Mobility as a Service (MaaS) platform that would meet the requirements of each Council, and their respective stakeholders and Customers. The Councils are seeking to procure a white-label MaaS platform offering functionality across multi-modal journey planning, booking and reservations and payment services. The overall aim is to deliver a MaaS platform which provides the user with a simple to use interface, offering the most up to date passenger travel information and real-time and predictive information seamlessly to the user. A total budget of £2.6 million is being made available to support in the delivery. There is an expectation that MaaS providers will deliver a turn-key solution to each Council. To clarify, ‘turn-key’ means a platform built, supplied, installed, ready to operate, maintained and promoted by the provider. Each Council is looking for a partner who will: Work in partnership to deliver the very best platform available; Work collaboratively and efficiently through issues, and understand that requirements might vary in line with changing or evolving technologies; Work collaboratively to find the best solutions for customers, and stakeholders; Provide call centre support for customers; and Have the customers’ needs at the heart of driving forward innovation.
