Rough Sleeper Mental Health Service (Kent & Medway Region) - Market Engagement

NHS Kent and Medway Integrated Care Board (the commissioner) intends to
undertake a procurement process for a Rough Sleeper Mental Health Service.

The service is for individuals referred by West Kent and Medway Rough Sleeper Initiative (RSI) outreach services who are sleeping rough or insecurely accommodated and who generally will not engage in formal health care pathways. The service will include providing assertive clinical assessment and interventions to individuals who generally will not engage in formal health care processes, working in non-health care settings with a range of partners, including people who have had experience of homelessness and can provide peer support.

The commissioner has published this Prior Information Notice to support market engagement only at this stage.

It is the current intention of the commissioners to procure the service and appoint a provider to deliver the service covering the West Kent and Medway region, with a potential expansion to other areas of Kent and Medway - this includes Swale, Dartford, Gravesham, Swanley and East Kent.
