Bristol City Council (BCC) will be establishing a Single Framework for Adult Social Care. This notice aims to inform current and future social care providers of BCC’s commissioning intentions. BCC’s Adult social care is facing significant challenges. Population needs in Bristol are diverse and increasing coupled with considerable financial pressures for the Local Authority. BCC is looking to review and improve its commissioned social care offer, modernising models of care across a range of services. BCC Adult Social Care currently purchases care from approximately 480 providers at a cost of c.£195M per annum. The current purchasing mechanism comprises of four large frameworks which are, Care Homes, Home Care, Community Support Services, Sheltered Housing in addition to other care contracts.
