Description

THIS NOTICE IS FOR A MARKET ENGAGEMENT EVENT ONLY NHS Arden and Greater East Midlands CSU on behalf of NHS Black Country and West Birmingham CCG in association with Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council are looking to appoint suitably experienced and qualified providers to provide a Residential Short Breaks Service for children and young people with a disability. The service will provide both planned and emergency Short Break Residential Care to children and young people who are categorised in a priority group as follows: • Group A comprises children and young people with Autistic Spectrum Disorder (who have severe learning disabilities or behaviour which is challenging) or those children and young people whose challenging behaviour is associated with other impairments such as severe learning disabilities. • Group B comprises children and young people with complex health needs including those with a disability and life limiting conditions, and/or those who require palliative care and/or those with associated impairments such as cognitive or sensory impairments and/or have moving/handling needs and/or require special equipment/adaptations.

Providers will be able to download the service specification and complete a survey completion which will inform certain aspects of the market engagement event. In addition to this, interested parties may choose to book one-to-one sessions with the Commissioners following on from the event. 20 minute slots will be allocated on a first come, first served basis with sessions intended to start at around 11:10 am with the final slot at 4:10pm.
