Herefordshire County Council and Worcestershire County Council are committed to ensuring the voices of victim-survivors (including adults, young people and children) and the views of individuals with lived experience of domestic abuse (DA), are reflected throughout the partnership, strategy, commissioning, and delivery of services. To enable this, Herefordshire County Council (HCC) are looking to commission a DA Survivor Lived Experience Project Coordinator in partnership with Worcestershire County Council (WCC). The Lived Experience Project (LEAG) seeks to ensure that both Local Authorities meet the requirements of the Act, including section 401, 'Designing the needs around the victims', based on a model of co-production. Through this work, the voices of victim-survivors across Herefordshire and Worcestershire will inform strategy, commissioning, and delivery of services, improving outcomes. Local service delivery partners will also have access to a reference group of 'experts by experience'. The duration of the project is one year commencing in January 2023, with the possibility of a one-year extension. It is anticipated that time will be required to set up the project (Phase 1) with the future implementation period included in Phase 2. The maximum budget available for Phase 1 and 2 is £60,000 per annum. The documents will be available on 3rd October 2022 by noon.
