Wiltshire Council supplier engagement day, 29th November 2021 (via Webinar on Teams). Wiltshire Council are running a suppliers engagement day at 10.00 on the 29 November 2021 to discuss options for re-tendering of the Term Highways Maintenance Service contract to start on 1st April 2023. This contract will be for 5 years with a possible further 5 years extension after year 4. The contract will be for the provision of a highways maintenance service to undertake a programme of maintenance and improvements of the highways and roads network or other council land in Wiltshire and associated infrastructure. The service will include construction, foundation and surface works, routine, reactive and safety maintenance, repairs and cleansing operations, signing and lining, repairs and maintenance to structures, drainage CCTV investigations and repairs, and street lighting maintenance repairs and replacements. It will also include the provision of out of hours emergency services and a winter maintenance service for the provision of drivers on standby and to operate the gritter fleet. The successful contractor will be expected to work alongside the authority to help it achieve its commitment to becoming carbon natural by 2030.
