The Cardiff and Vale Health Board is responsible for the delivery of Neurodevelopmental Diagnostic services to children and young people up to the age of 18 years old. This is currently delivered by a multidisciplinary team through a mixed method delivery of face to face and virtual clinics. Due to a significant increase in demand, the Health Board is seeking to implement additional clinical resource to undertake appropriate diagnostic assessments for Neurodevelopmental conditions including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). The additional clinical resource will support in the clinical delivery of assessment to children and young people who have been waiting for assessment for over 2 years. Preferably the additional clinical resource would deliver assessment activity through an appropriate digital platform, although delivery does not have to be limited to digital and appropriate face to face delivery will be acceptable.
